The authors consider the autonomous second-order Hamiltonian system \[ \ddot{q}+V'(q)=0\leqno(1) \] where \(V\in C^{2}(\mathbb{R}^{n},\mathbb{R})\). Assuming that \(V\) and \(h\in\mathbb{R}\) satisfy some suitable conditions, they prove that system (1) possesses at least one non-constant periodic solution with the prescribed energy \(h=\frac{1}{2}\left|\dot{q}\right|^{2}+ v(q)\). For the proof, they use variational methods and critical point theory.
