The paper is related to the problem of the reconstruction algorithms for a function, based on its non-uniform samples. The framework is given by shift invariant spaces based on B-spline functions. The authors give a Kadec-type theorem for functions from shift invariant spaces based on B-spline functions of order \(2\), together with the sampling bounds and then extend it for any even order, using Krein-Favard constants to express sampling bounds. The density of zeros for the aimed type of functions is addressed, proving that if a non-zero function from shift invariant spaces based on B-splines has separated infinitely many simple or double zeros on the real axis, then we can find at least one pair of consecutive zeros whose distance apart is greater than or equal to a certain limit depending on Krein-Favard constants. The authors also give a frame algorithm and an iterating reconstruction algorithm to reconstruct the functions and also a sampling density theorem for irregular Gabor-type frames.
