The authors propose a solution procedure for one type of the Delsarte problem for the Jacobi transform, the kernel of which is an eigenfunction of the Sturm-Liouville problem with a special weight function. The Jacobi transform is reduced to Fourier cosine transform in case of a special choice of weight function parameters. The solution of the Delsarte problem for the Jacobi transform leads subsequently to the solution of the Delsarte problem for the Fourier transform on a hyperboloid.
