A compact Klein surface is a surface with a dianalytic atlas, which can be with or without boundary, and orientable or non-orientable. Given a Klein surface \(X\), a double of \(X\) is a Klein surface \(Y\) such that there exists a morphism of Klein surfaces, of degree two, \(Y \rightarrow X\). There exist a lot of doubles of a Klein surface \(X\). In the literature three of them have gained interest, the complex double, the Schottky double and the orienting double. They are called the natural doubles of \(X\). The paper under review is devoted to construct a common double of the three natural doubles of \(X\), when \(X\) is non-orientable with boundary. This common double is the so-called double of the doubles. The main tool in order to get it is the uniformization of Klein surfaces by means of non-Euclidean crystallographic groups. The three natural doubles were studied in this way by \textit{A. F. Costa} et al. [Glasg. Math. J. 54, No. 3, 507--515 (2012; Zbl 1253.30052)], and the construction of the double of the doubles in Section 5 of the paper relies heavily on it. The article is carefully written, and includes some enlightening examples.
