Let \(S\) be the unique \(K3\) surface with transcendental lattice \(T_S \cong ({\mathbb Z}^2, q=2(x^2+y^2))\), studied by Vinberg. The authors exhibit an explicit rational 2-to-1 map from the Hilbert scheme of two points \(S^{[2]}\) to \({\mathbb P}^5\) whose image is an EPW sextic \(Y\) and they find the defining equation for \(Y\). The EPW sextic \(Y\) is singular along \(60\) planes, \(20\) of which form a complete family of incident planes. The authors show that \(20\) is the maximal number of a complete family of incident planes, and solve a problem of Morin and O'Grady. On the other hand, the Hilbert scheme \(S^{[2]}\) of two points on Vinberg's \(K3\) surface is birational to the Kummer-type IHS fourfold constructed by \textit{M. Donten-Bury} and \textit{J. A. Wiśniewski} [Kyoto J. Math. 57, No. 2, 395--434 (2017; Zbl 1390.14048)].
