In the interesting paper under review, the authors show that the singular sets of free boundaries arising in codimension-one anisotropic geometric variational problems are \(\mathcal{H}^{n-3}\)-negligible, where \(n\) is the dimension of the ambient space. The main result presented improves that of the authors [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 216, No. 2, 473--568 (2015; Zbl 1321.35158)], where it is proved that free boundaries are regular outside closed sets of vanishing \(\mathcal{H}^{n-2}\)-measure. The ``interior part'' of the statement dates back to \textit{R. Schoen} et al. [Acta Math. 139, 217--265 (1978; Zbl 0386.49030)], while the boundary situation is treated by combining ideas of Schoen-Simon-Almgren with the \(\mathcal{H}^{n-2}\)-negligibility result of the authors. As consequence, everywhere regularity in the three-dimensional case follows, and the results of the paper apply to capillarity and relative isoperimetric problems.
