Consider a supercritical branching random walk on the real line. The author shows that the point process formed by the particles of the branching random walk seen from its minimum converges in law to a decorated Poisson process. This confirms a conjecture of \textit{É. Brunet} and \textit{B. Derrida} [J. Stat. Phys. 143, No. 3, 420--446 (2011; Zbl 1219.82095)]. A similar result for the branching Brownian motion was established by \textit{L.-P. Arguin} et al. [Probab. Theory Relat. Fields 157, No. 3--4, 535--574 (2013; Zbl 1286.60045)] and \textit{E. Aïdékon} et al. [Probab. Theory Relat. Fields 157, No. 1--2, 405--451 (2013; Zbl 1284.60154)].
