In this paper, the authors establish an extension of Loud's version of the implicit function theorem at rank \(0\). By using this implicit function theorem, they prove that the following driven differential equation \[ \ddot{x}+g(x)=\varepsilon p(t) \] has an odd \(2\pi \)-periodic solution \(\varphi, \) where \(g\) and \(p\) are odd smooth functions with \(g'(0)=n^{2}\) for some \(n\in \mathbb {N}\) and \(g^{\prime \prime \prime }(0)\neq 0\). Moreover, they state sufficient conditions for the existence of one or three odd \(2\pi\)-periodic continuations and also present conditions for their linear stability.
