Summary: Given a finite metabelian \(2\)-group \(G\), the object of this paper is to discuss some cases under which \(D_5(G) = \gamma_5(G)\). Further, some examples of \(2\) groups of class \(3\), for which \(D_4(G) \neq \{1 \}\) but \(D_5(G) = \{1 \}\), are discussed.
