This paper investigates the existence of real homogeneous polynomial solutions of the \(p\)-Laplace equation \(\mathrm{div}(\left| \nabla u\right| ^{p-2}\nabla u)=0\) on \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\) (\(n\geq 3\)), where \(p\in \mathbb{R}\backslash \{1,2\}\). Recently, Tkachev showed that there are no such solutions of degree \(3\). The authors now show that the only solutions of degree \(4\) have the form \(u(x)=c(x_{1}^{2}+...+x_{k}^{2})^{2}\), where \(p=(4-k)/3\) and \(2\leq k\leq n\). They also show that, when \(n=3\), there are no solutions of degree 5. These results are established by means of extensive computations.
