The limit of a family of solutions to the compressible barotropic Navier-Stokes equations in exterior moving domains is studied in the paper. Let \(\Omega_t=\mathbb{R}^3\setminus \Sigma_t\) where \(\Sigma_0\subset\mathbb{R}^3\) is a fixed bounded domain, \(\Sigma_t=\{x\in\mathbb{R}^3:x-m(t)\in\Sigma_0\}\), \(m(t)\) is a smooth mapping from \([0,T]\) to \(\mathbb{R}^3\) with \(m(0)=0\). The density \(\rho_\epsilon\) and the vector field of velocity \(v_\epsilon\) the pressure function \(p_\epsilon\) satisfy to the equations \[ \begin{aligned} & \frac{\partial \rho_\epsilon}{\partial t}+\text{div}\,(\rho_\epsilon v_\epsilon)=0,\quad x\in\Omega_t,\;t\in(0,T),\\ & \frac{\partial }{\partial t}(\rho_\epsilon v_\epsilon)+\text{div}\,(\rho_\epsilon v_\epsilon\otimes v_\epsilon) -\text{div}\,\mathbb{S}(v_\epsilon)+\frac{1}{\epsilon^2}\nabla p=0,\quad x\in\Omega_t,\;t\in(0,T),\end{aligned}\tag{1} \] where the positive parameter \(\epsilon\) is a order of the Mach number, the pressure \(p(\rho_\epsilon)\) is a given function, \(\mathbb{S}(v)\) is the viscous stress tensor \[ \mathbb{S}(v)=\mu\left( \nabla v+(\nabla v)^T-\frac{2}{3}\,\text{div}\,v\mathbb{I} \right)+\eta\;\text{div}\,v\mathbb{I},\quad \mu>0,\;\eta\geq 0. \] The equations (1) are added by an impermeability of the boundary condition and usual initial condition. It is proved that the family of solutions to the problem (1) \((\rho_\epsilon,v_\epsilon)\) converges to the solution of the incompressible Navier-Stokes system \[ \bar{\rho}\,\frac{\partial u}{\partial t}+\bar{\rho}\,\text{div}\,(u\otimes u) -\text{div}\,\mathbb{S}(u)+\nabla q=0,\quad \text{div}\,u=0,\quad x\in\Omega_t,\;t\in(0,T) \] with a certain constant \(\bar{\rho}\). Results of the spectral theory of self-adjoint operators are used in the proof.
