This paper is concerned with the study of nonhomogeneous quasilinear elliptic equations of the form \[ -\Delta_n u+a(x) |u|^{n-2}u=b(x) |u|^{n-2}u+g(x)f(u)+\varepsilon h \quad \text{in}\;\;\mathbb R^n, \leqno{(1)} \] where \(n\geq 2\), \(\Delta_n u\equiv \mathrm{div }(|\nabla u|^{n-2}u) \) is the \(n\)-Laplacian, \(\varepsilon\) is a positive parameter, the function \(g(x)\) may be unbounded in \(x\) and the nonlinearity \(f(s)\) has critical exponential growth when \(s\rightarrow +\infty\). Under suitable conditions, by applying the variational approach and motivated by theTrudinger-Moser inequality, the authors establish the existence and multiplicity of solutions of problem \((1)\) using the Ekeland variational principle combined with minimization and mountain pass theorem.
