The authors are concerned with a mathematical proof for the optimal convergence (at algebraic rates) of their previously introduced weighted-residual error estimator for isogeometric analysis of the boundary element methods (IGABEM). As a model problem they solve a weakly-singular 2D boundary integral equation by Galerkin BEM.
