Let \(\Omega\) be a bounded domain with smooth boundary \(\partial \Omega\) and \(p\in\mathbb R\), \(p>1\). The aim of the authors is to apply the linking method for cones in normed spaces to prove the existence of a nontrivial solution belonging to \(W^{1,p}(\Omega)\), for the Steklov boundary problem, no-flux boundary problem, Neumann boundary problem and Robin boundary problem. These kinds of problems arise in different areas, for example in the study of optimal constants for the Sobolev imbedding theorems, non-Newtonian fluids and differential geometry. In the paper, Liu and Zheng study the eigenvalue problems with Steklov, no-flux, Neumann, Robin boundary value conditions. They prove the existence of a divergent sequence of eigenvalues by critical point theory for even functionals on Finsler manifolds, and extend and generalize Ahern, Flores, Rudin and Furstenberg's results on \(M\)-harmonic and integrable functions. The authors focus on functions on the unit ball \(B_n\) of \({\mathbb{C}}^n\) which are invariant under convex combinations of the interactions on a weighted Berezin transforms \(T_\alpha\). They prove that, if \(f\) is \(M\)-harmonic and integrable with respect to the radial measure \(\nu_\alpha\), over the unit ball \(B_n \) of \({\mathbb{C}}^n,\) then \[ \int_{B_n} (f \circ \varphi) \,d\nu_\alpha= f(\varphi(0)), \] for every \(\varphi \in \Aut (B_n)\). Equivalently \(f\) is fixed by the weighted Berezin transform \[ T_\alpha f=f. \] The result is achieved by using the theory of Gelfand transforms and the spectrum of \(T_\alpha \) on the commutative Banach algebra \(L^1_R(T)\), the space of all radial functions \(f\) on \(B_n\) integrable with respect to an invariant measure \(\tau\).
