The paper under review classifies finitely generated, factorial, multigraded of complexity one, algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. This result is then applied to study Fano \(n\)-folds admitting an effective action of an algebraic torus \(T\) of dimension \(n-1\). Some results on deformation types of these varieties are obtained under suitable assumption on the Picard index.
