The convergence domain of an infinite matrix \(A=(a_{nk})\) (\(n,k\in\mathbb{Z}_{\geq0}\)) is the set of sequences \(x=\{x_k\}\) (\(k\in\mathbb{Z}_{\geq0}\)) such that \(\sum_ka_{nk}x_k\) is convergent for any \(n\). An E-J (from Endl and Jakimovski, who introduced them in [\textit{K. Endl}, Math. Ann. 139, 403--432 (1960; Zbl 0127.02702); \textit{A. Jakimovski}, ``The product of summability methods; new classes of transformations and their properties'', Tech. Note, Contract AF61 (052)-187 (1959)]) generalized Hausdorff matrix \(H_\mu^{(\alpha)}\), for \(\mu=\{\mu_k\}\) a sequence and \(\alpha\) a positive real number, is a lower triangular matrix with nonzero entries \( h_{nk}=\binom{n+\alpha}{n-k}\Delta^{n-k}\mu_k, \) where \(\Delta\) is the forward difference operator defined by \(\Delta\mu_k=\mu_k-\mu_{k+1}\), \(\Delta^{n+1}(\mu_k)=\Delta(\Delta^n\mu_k)\). An ordinary Hausdorff matrix is obtained when \(\alpha=0\). \textit{B. E. Rhoades} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 19, 457--468 (1967; Zbl 0163.07104)] proved that the convergence domain of every known prime Hausdorff matrix is of the form \(c\oplus x\) for a particular unbounded sequence \(x\), where \(c\) denotes the set of convergent sequences. The main result of this paper is that, for fixed \(a\) and \(b\) such that \(R(a),R(b)>0\) and \(\alpha\) a positive real number, the E-J generalized Hausdorff matrix \(H_\mu^{(\alpha)}\) given by \( \mu_k=\frac{k-a}{k+b+\alpha} \) has convergence domain \(c\oplus x\), for \(x\) the unbounded sequence defined by \( x_k=\frac{\Gamma(k+\alpha+1)}{\Gamma(k-a+1)}. \)
