The solutions for the boundary layer problem of Boltzmann equation in a half-space (Q537887)

The main purpose of the present paper is to study the existence, uniqueness and asymptotic properties of the solution for the following linear boundary value problem \[ (\xi_1+u)f_x-Lf=0,\quad x>0,\;\xi\in \mathbb R^3, \] \[ f(0,\xi)=\phi(\xi),\quad \xi_1+u>0,\;(\xi_2,\xi_3)\in\mathbb R^2,\;\xi=(\xi_1,\xi_2,\xi_3)\text{ velocity}, \] \[ f\rightarrow 0\;(x\rightarrow +\infty),\quad \xi\in\mathbb R^3, \] where \(L\) is the linearized collision operator.
