This paper is concerned with simplicial posets. A simplicial poset is a finite poset \(P\) with a minimal element \(\widehat 0\), i.e. \(\widehat 0\leq p\) for all \(p\in P\), such that, for every \(p\in P\), the interval \([\widehat 0,p]\) is a Boolean algebra. The face poset of a simplicial complex is a typical example. \textit{R. P. Stanley} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 71, No. 2-3, 319--331 (1991; Zbl 0727.06009)] defined a ring \(A_P\) associated with a simplicial poset \(P\) that generalizes the face ring of a simplicial complex. In the paper under review the author gives a concise description of a dualizing complex of \(A_P\), which has many applications.
