Spectral properties of the renormalization group at infinite temperature (Q538411)

The author considers the spectrum of the linearization \(L(J)\) of two commonly used renormalization group transformations for Ising-type lattice spin systems on \(\mathbb{Z}^d\) at infinite temperature and shows that this spectrum is of an unusual kind: dense point spectrum for which the adjoint operators \(L^{*}(J)\) have no point spectrum at all, but only residual spectrum.
