\textit{S. E. Cappell} and \textit{E. Y. Miller} [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 63, No. 2, 133--202 (2010; Zbl 1201.58021)] extended the classical construction of the analytic torsion for de Rham complexes coupled with an arbitrary flat bundle. They also defined a notion of holomorphic torsion for \(\bar \partial\)-complexes coupled with an arbitrary holomorphic bundle with a compatible connection of type \((1,1)\). On the other hand, \textit{V. Mathai} and \textit{S. Wu} [Sci. China, Math. 53, No. 3, 555--563 (2010; Zbl 1202.58019)] generalized the classical construction of the analytic torsion to de Rham complexes twisted by an odd degree closed form as a flux; more generally they allow twisting by a \({\mathbb Z}_2\)-graded elliptic complex. In the paper under review, the author defines analogues of the Cappell-Miller holomorphic torsion for twisted Dolbeault-type complexes and of the analytic torsion for twisted de Rham complexes. The author also presents variational formulae for these torsions under deformations of the metric and the flux.
