Elliptic hypergeometric series form an extension of classical and basic (or \(q\)-) hypergeometric series, which was introduced by \textit{I. B. Frenkel} and \textit{V. G. Turaev} [The Arnold-Gelfand mathematical seminars: geometry and singularity theory. Boston, MA: Birkhäuser. 171--204 (1997; Zbl 0974.17016)]. Here, the author thoroughly investigates a new transformation between elliptic hypergeometric beta integrals, which give rise to a Weyl group symmetry of type \(F_4\). The transformation is a generalization of a series transformation discovered by \textit{R. Langer, M. J. Schlosser} and \textit{S. O. Warnaar} [SIGMA, Symmetry Integrability Geom. Methods Appl. 5, Paper 055, 20 p., electronic only (2009; Zbl 1205.33027)]. Moreover, in thee concluding section, the author considers some limits as \(p\rightarrow 0\), which leads to various new basic hypergeometric identities.
