The notion of occasionally weakly compatible mappings has been introduced by \textit{M. A. Al-Thagafi} and \textit{N. Shahzad} in [Acta Math. Sin., Engl. Ser. 24, No. 5, 867--876 (2008; Zbl 1175.41026)]. \textit{M. Abbas} and \textit{B. E. Rhoades} [Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2007, Article ID 54101 (2007; Zbl 1153.54307); erratum ibid. 2008, Article ID 274793 (2008; Zbl 1156.54302)] extended the definition of occasionally weakly compatible maps to the setting of set-valued maps. Let \((X,d)\) be a metric space and \(f: X\to X\) and \(F: X\to CB(X)\), where \(CB(X)\) is the set of all closed and bounded sets of \(X\), then \(f\) and \(F\) are said to be weakly compatible mappings if there exists a point \(x\in X\) such that \(fx\in Fx\) and \(fFx\subset Ffx\). The study of fixed points of mappings satisfying an implicit relation was initiated in 1997 and 1999, see [\textit{V. Popa}, Demonstr. Math. 32, No.~1, 157--163 (1999; Zbl 0926.54030)]. In the present paper, the authors establish some common fixed point theorems for two pairs of self-mappings \(f,g: X\to X\), \(F,G: X\to CB(X)\), which are occasionally weakly compatible and satisfy inequalities of the type \[ \phi(H(Fx, Gy), d(fx, gy), d(fx, Fx), d(gy,Gy), d(fy,Gy), d(gy, Fx))\leq 0, \] where \(H\) is the Hausdorff-Pompeiu metric on \(X\) and \(\phi\) is a function \(\phi: \mathbb{R}^6_+\to\mathbb{R}\) satisfying the following conditions: \((\phi_1)\): \(\phi\) is nonincreasing in the variables \(t_5\) and \(t_6\), \((\phi_2)\): \(\phi(t,t,0,0,t,t)> 0\) for all \(t> 0\). These results unify and extend many results obtained by Aliouche, Bouhadjera, Popa and other authors. In the last part of the paper, the authors establish other common fixed points for occasionally weakly compatible hybrid mappings of Greguš type.
