The author presents an analogue of the Hartogs-Serre theorem for mapping spaces. Let \(M\) be a Stein manifold, \(\dim M\geq 2\), and let \(K\subset M\) be a compact set such that \(M':=M\setminus K\) is connected. Assume that \(0\in M'\) is a fixed point. Let \(S\) be a compact differential manifold and let \(A\subset S\) be closed. Consider the space \(M_{S,A}\) (resp.~\(M'_{S,A}\)) of all mappings \(x:(S,A)\longrightarrow(M,0)\) (resp.~\(x:(S,A)\longrightarrow(M',0)\)) of class \(\mathcal C^k\) (\(k\in\mathbb N_0\)) or \(W^{k,p}\) (\(k\in\mathbb N\), \(1\leq p<+\infty\), \(kp>\dim S\)) that are homotopic to the constant mapping. Then \(M_{S,A}\) has a natural structure of a complex Banach manifold and \(M'_{S,A}\) is open in \(M_{S,A}\). If \(A\neq\emptyset\), then assume that there exists a proper holomorphic disc \(\varphi:\varDelta\longrightarrow M\) such that \(0\in\varphi(\varDelta)\) and \(\varphi(\varDelta)\cap K=\emptyset\). Let \(Y\) be a complex Banach space. The main result of the paper states that every holomorphic function \(f:M'_{S,A}\longrightarrow Y\) can be continued analytically along any curve in \(M_{S,A}\) starting at \(x_0\equiv0\).
