Exact inequalities between the best approximations of periodic differentiable functions by trigonometric polynomials and \(m\)th-order moduli of continuity in \(L^2[0,\pi]\) are obtained. Exact values of \(n\)-widths are found for some classes of functions determined by moduli of continuity.
