Let \(I\subset \mathbb{R}\) be an open interval and \(M: I^2\to I\) a mean, i.e. \[ \min\{x,y\}\leq M(x,y)\leq\max\{x,y\} \] for all \(x,y: I\). The author considers the so-called \(M\)-conjugate mean depending on \(M\) and a given function \(f: I\to\mathbb{R}\) which is assumed to be continuous and strictly monotone. In the paper the following problem of equality is investigated: under which conditions two \(M\)-conjugate means are equal. Moreover, the comparison problem (i.e. the solution of the inequality beetwen two \(M\)-conjugate means) is also discussed. Unfortunately, in both cases the author considers only \(M(x,y)= \min\{x,y\}\). Let's note, that there are many questions related to this paper, to be solved.
