By constructing explicit analytic expressions for two Riemann maps \(\varphi\) and \(\psi\) of the unit disk onto a certain domain \(G\) in \(\mathbb{C}\), the authors show that it is possible for \(\varphi'/\psi'\) to be bounded but \(\psi'/\varphi'\) to be unbounded. This answers an open question from work of \textit{V. Matache} and the first author [``Composition operators on a class of analytic function spaces related to Brennan's conjecture'', Complex Anal. Oper. Theory (to appear), \url{doi:10.1007/s11785010-0090-5}] related to a classical conjecture of \textit{J. E. Brennan} [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 18, 261--272 (1978; Zbl 0422.30006)].
