This paper deals with a 2D reduction of the 3D mean-field model, describing the motion of magnetic vortices in a II-type superconductor. In this paper, an artificial boundary condition is proposed instead of physical conditions, and it is shown that the boundary layer does not appear under the viscous limit in the system. One of the main result establishes the \(L_p\)-boundedness of the viscous solutions independently on the parameter \(\varepsilon >0\). As a consequence, the authors deduce the strong convergence of the viscous solutions. This result has important implications in the \(f\)-boundary layers theory. The proofs combine a vanishing viscosity limit argument with the kinetic formulation of the problem and the investigation of a related linear transport equation.
