    The authors consider the following difference equation, depending on a real parameter \(\lambda \): \[ (P_{\lambda })~:~-\Delta _{p}\varkappa (k-1)=\lambda f(k,\varkappa (k)),k\in\mathbb{Z}\text{ and }\varkappa (-\infty )=-1;\;\varkappa (\infty )=1 \] where \(P>1\) is a real number, \(\Delta \varkappa (k)=\varkappa (k+1)-\varkappa (k),\;\Delta _{p}\varkappa (k-1):=\Delta (\phi _{p}(\Delta \varkappa (k-1))),\;\phi _{p}(\varkappa )=|\varkappa|^{p-2}\varkappa \) is the usual \(p\)-Laplacian operator and \(f\) is a continuous function defined on \(\mathbb{Z}\times\mathbb{R}\). Under convenient assumptions on the function \(f,\) it is proved the existence of at least one solution of problem \((P_{\lambda })\) for all \( \lambda >\frac{2}{p}\). Finally, to illustrate the given result one example is given.
