The authors deal with PLB-spaces, that is, projective limits of inductive limits of Banach spaces. The paper is divided into three parts. After a short introduction they present the main result of the paper which is Theorem 2.1. It gives a criterion whether a projective limit of regular LB-spaces is bornological. Their condition is, in a sense, `somewhere in between' the vanishing of the functor \(\mathrm{Proj}^1\) and strong reducedness of the spectrum of these LB-spaces (in the sense of Wengenroth). The last section is devoted to some applications of the main result to weighted spaces of continuous functions. At the beginning the authors present all the necessary definitions in order to introduce the PLB-spaces \(AC(X)\) and \((AC)_0(X)\). In Subsection 3.1 the case of barrelledness of \((AC)_0(X)\) is investigated while Subsection 3.2 deals with the previously defined condition (B1) (which is an ingredient of the main criterion). In the last subsection the authors study the case when \(AC(X)\) and \((AC)_0(X)\) are Fréchet spaces.
