Among other things, the author gives an infinite version of the Riesz Decomposition Property for topological vector lattices (TVL). Let \(E\) be a TVL, let \(x\in E\) be the sum of a convergent series \(\sum_nx_n\) in \(E\). If \(|y|\leq |x|\), then there is a sequence \((y_n)\) in \(E\) with \( y=\sum_ny_n\) and for each \(n\), \(|y_n| \leq |x_n|\) and \(|s_n| \leq |r_n|\), where \( r_n = \sum_{k=n}^\infty x_k \) and \(s_n = \sum_{k=n}^\infty y_k \). Moreover, if \(y\) is positive, then the \(y_n\)'s can be chosen to be positive. In the main result of the paper, it is proved that, if \((I_n)\) is a sequence of closed order ideals in a Fréchet lattice, then \(I = \sum_n I_n\), which is the collection of all elements \(z\) of \(E\) which can be written in the form \[ z = \sum_n x_n,\quad x_n\in I_n \tag{*} \] is the smallest closed order ideal in \(E\) that contains all the \(I_n\)s. Moreover, every positive \(z\in I\) can be represented in the form (*) where each \(x_n \geq 0\). All elements \(z\in E\) that can be represented in the form (*) also have the property that the series \(\sum_n |x_n|\) converges in \(E\). An application is given for the Banach lattice \(C(S)\), where \(S\) is compact Hausdorff.
