Extending the GGobi pipeline from R. Rapid prototyping of interactive visualizations (Q549608)

An interface for interactive visualization tools in R software and GGobi is considered. GGobi is an open-source tool for interactive multivariate graphics which is capable of several types of displays such as scatterplots or barcharts. Each display supports such interactive models as linked brushing and identification. The RGGobi package provides a high-level interface from R to GGobi. In the paper a low-level interface is addressed which alows the embedding of R within GGobi through the extension of GGobi classes. An application of this approach to interactive network layout is discussed in detail.
