The authors consider the \(p(x)\)-Laplacian equation \[ u_t = \text{div} (D_\lambda (x) |\nabla u|^{p(x) -2} \nabla u ) + B(u) \] with the zero Dirichlet boundary condition in a bounded domain \(\Omega\) in \(\mathbb R^n\). The function \(D_\lambda \in L^\infty (\Omega)\) has a positive lower bound and \(D_\lambda \to D\) in \(L^\infty (\Omega)\) as \(\lambda \to 0\). Under additional assumptions, the authors prove the upper semicontinuity of global attractors of the equation.
