The authors deal with the following triple of functional equations and existence conditions. Chain rule: \[ (Tf\circ g)(x)= (Tf)\circ g(x)(Tg)(x)\quad (x\in\mathbb{R}) \] \((f, g,\mathbb{R}^n\to C^1(\mathbb{R}^n, \mathbb{R}^n)\); local surjectivity: exists \(x_0\in\mathbb{R}^n\) such that \[ [(Tf) (x_0)|f\in C^1(\mathbb{R}^n, \mathbb{R}^n),\;f(x_0)= x_0,\;\text{det\,}f'(x_0)\neq 0]\supseteq\text{GL}(n); \] and nondegenerateness: exists \(x_1\in \mathbb{R}^n\) such that \[ f_1\in C^1_b(\mathbb{R}^n,\mathbb{R}^n),\;\text{det}(Tf_1) (X_1)\neq 0. \] Several particular cases are presented.
