Hidden structures in the class of convex functions and a new duality transform (Q550562)

The authors present among others, a new duality transform for the so-called geometric convex functions, i.e. nonnegative convex functions \(f\) on \(\mathbb{R}^n\) such that \(f(0)=0\). This transform and the classical Legendre transform are shown to be essentially the only duality relations on this class of functions. The geometric constructions of support or Minkowski functional may be extended via these dualities -- and in a unique way -- to the class of geometric log-concave functions, revealing in this way hidden geometric structures for this class of functions.
