Local and global properties of solutions of heat equation with superlinear absorption (Q553405)

The authors study the local and global properties of solutions of a class of semilinear heat equations \(u_t - \Delta u + f(u) = 0\) with initial data \(k\delta\) with \(k \rightarrow +\infty\). Thank to a deep and detailed analysis, the authors prove new and very general results concerning existence and non existence of solutions with unbouded initial data.
