The paper under review continues the study of minimal representations of the indefinite orthogonal group \(G = O(p,q)\) started in 1998 by \textit{B. Ørsted} and the author himself [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I, Math. 326, No. 8, 925--930 (1998; Zbl 0910.22010); Adv. Math. 180, No. 2, 486--512 (2003; Zbl 1046.22004); Adv. Math. 180, No. 2, 513--550 (2003; Zbl 1049.22006) and Adv. Math. 180, No. 2, 551--595 (2003; Zbl 1039.22005)]. A minimal representation of a (simple) Lie group \(G\) can be defined as a representation of \(G\) for which its annihilator in the universal enveloping algebra is just the Joseph ideal. The author focuses on three topics, on the construction of conservative quantities for ultra-hyperbolic equations, on quantitative discrete branching laws, and on deformations of the Fourier transform. In all of these cases Sato's ideas and techniques of hyperfunctions and \({\mathcal D}\)-modules are highlighted and recognized.
