Let \(G\) be a connected semisimple linear algebraic group over an algebraically closed field \(k\). Suppose \(P\) is a parabolic subgroup of \(G\) without any simple factors, and let \(\rho:P\to H\) be a homomorphism where \(H\) is a connected reductive linear algebraic group over \(k\). Suppose also that the image \(\rho(P)\) is not contained in any proper parabolic subgroup of \(H\). Denote by \(E_P(H)\) the principal \(H\)-bundle over \(G/P\) whose total space is \((G\times H)/P\) (here \(P\) acts on \(G\times H\) by \(p\cdot(g,h)=(gp,\rho(p^{-1})h)\) for any \(p\in P\), \(g\in G\) and \(h\in H\)). If \(k\) is the field of complex numbers, it was shown by \textit{H. Azad} and \textit{I. Biswas} [J. Lie Theory 14, 569--581 (2004; Zbl 1080.14055)] that the principal bundle \(E_p(H)\) is stable with respect to any polarization of \(G/P\). In this article, it is shown that this result holds over any algebraically closed field \(k\) provided that the simple quotients of \(H\) are of classical type. In fact, it is shown that under the condition that the simple quotients of \(H\) are of classical type, the principal \(H\)-bundle \(E_P(H)\) is strongly stable with respect to any polarization on \(G/P\).
