A theorem of Wong states that the ball is the unique strictly pseudoconvex bounded domain having a noncompact automorphism group. The authors suggest two local versions for hypersurfaces such that an orbit accumulates at a strictly pseudo convex domain at the boundary. These versions manifest a different behavior depending on wether the Levi form is definite or not. The group of pseudo unitary matrices for indefinite Hermitian forms is noncompact. However for individual automorphism another study must be done. Let \(M\) be a real analytic Levi nondegenerate nonspherical hypersurface in a neighborhood of the origin. The authors prove that for a noncocontracting automorphism \(\psi\) and a \(\psi\)-contractible point \(q\), the vector \(0q\) is light-like and the vector \(tq\) must belong to \(M\) for any \(t\in [0,1]\). With the same hypothesis one also gets that \(M\) is locally equivalent to the quadric \(\text{Im}\, w=\langle z,z\rangle\).
