A first order hyperbolic equation is considered with Dirac delta type initial condition and nonlocal singular boundary condition, given by a linear integral operator where the kernel is defined by Dirac measures. The author proves that the solutions \(u_\varepsilon\) of problems with regularized initial and boundary data have a weak limit as \(\varepsilon\to 0\). This singular ``delta wave solution'' determines the macroscopic behavior of the corresponding generalized solution in the Colombeau algebra of generalized functions. This solution is a sum of a purely singular part satisfying a linear system and a regular part satisfying a nonlinear system.
