Let \({\mathcal L}(\mathbb R ^4)\) be the set of lattices that may be represented in the form \[ \Gamma =\{ m_1\gamma^{(1)}+\cdots + m_4\gamma^{(4)} \mid m_1, \dots,m_4 \in \mathbb{Z}\} , \] where \(\gamma^{(1)},\cdots , \gamma^{(4)}\) are 4-dimensional linear independent basic points. Let \(\widetilde{\mathcal L}(\mathbb R ^4)\) be the subset of \(\mathcal L(\mathbb R ^4)\), which consists of all lattices of ``general position'' with \(\gamma_j \neq 0, j=1, \dots, 4\) for any non-zero point \(\gamma = (\gamma_1, \dots,\gamma_4 )\). Let the lattice \(\Gamma\) from \(\mathcal L (\mathbb R ^4)\) be admissible for the 4-dimensional cube \([-1,1]^4\), i.e. only the zero point of \(\Gamma\) is in the cube and let \(\mathcal K\) be any set of 4 points of \( \Gamma \in \mathcal L(\mathbb{R}^4)\). The paper proves that the index of \(\mathcal K \) in \(\Gamma\) may be equal only to 0, 1 or 2.
