Zum Beweis des biquadratischen Reziprozitätsgesetzes dienende \textit{Eisenstein}sche Ausdrücke werden hier mit Hilfe der Funktion \[ F(\alpha )=\sum _{n=0}^{p-2}\alpha ^n\zeta ^{r^n} \] (\(p=4k+1\) Primzahl, \(\alpha \) eine \((p-1)\)-te, \(\zeta \) eine primitive \(p\)-te Einheitswurzel, \(r\) Primitivwurzel \(\text{mod }p\)) und Bildung von \(\psi (i)=(F(i))^2\cdot (F(-1))^{-1}\) gewonnen, wobei \(\psi (i)\psi (-i)=p\) ist.
