Der Satz der ersten Note, auf die im Titel Bezug genommen wird (1924; F. d. M. 49, 56), besagt: Wenn eine symmetrische Determinante verschwindet und ebenso die Summe ihrer Hauptminoren \((n-1)\)-ter Ordnung, so verschwindet jeder Minor \((n-1)\)-ter Ordnung. Verf. gibt historische Anmerkungen über Sätze dieser Art und beweist verwandte Sätze für symmetrische Determinanten vierter Ordnung.
