    Es werden folgende Beispiele von Differentialgleichungen \(z''+pz'+qz=0\) mit in \((a,b)\) reellen stetigen \(p(x),q(x)\) angegeben, für welche die (symbolische) Zerlegung \((D+\alpha )(D+\beta )z=0\) (vgl. \textit{Mammana}, M. Z. 25 (1926), 734-748; 33 (1931), 186-231; F. d. M. 52, 440 (JFM 52.0440.*); 57\(_{\text{I}}\), 510) mit reellen \(\alpha,\beta \) möglich ist: I) \(p=0,q=\Phi '(x)-(\Phi (x))^2\); II) \(p=2c,q=c^2+\Phi '(x)-(\Phi (x))^2\), wo \(c\) konstant; III) \(p=2\Phi (x),q=c+\frac {d}{dx}(\Phi (x)\pm [(\Phi (x))^2-c]^{\frac 12})\), wo \(c\) konstant; IV) \(p=2\Psi (x),q=\Psi '(x)+\Phi '(x)-(\Psi (x))^2-(\Phi (x))^2\); V) die Differentialgleichungen mit den allgemeinen Lösungen: \(z=A\sin x+B\sin ^2x, z=A\sin x+B\cos ^2x\), \(z=A\text{ tg}\,x+B\text{ cotg}\,x, z=A\text{ tg}\,x+B\text{ tg}^2x\).
