Ist \(f(z)\) eine elliptische Funktion mit den Perioden \(\pi \), \(\pi \tau \), und kennt man in einem Periodenparallelogramm die Koeffizienten der negativen Potenzen der \textit{Laurent}entwicklung in den Polen, so kann man mit Hilfe des \textit{Cauchy}schen Satzes für \(f(z)\) die \textit{Fourier}sche Entwicklung angeben. Die erhaltene Formel wird speziell auf die Funktion \(\wp(z)\) angewendet.
