Ausgehend vom \textit{Maxwell}schen Verteilungsgesetz wird die Stärke und Häufigkeit von Nachbeben wahrscheinlichkeitstheoretisch untersucht. Das Ergebnis stimmt mit den beobachteten Nachbeben des Tango-Bebens vom 7. März 1927 überein.
