In der Diskussion der Gleichgewichtsverteilung im Innern der ``weißen Zwerge'' ist bisher immer der Einfluß des elektrostatischen Potentials, das von der Ionisation der Materie herrührt, vernachlässigt worden. Nur \textit{Fowler} hat gezeigt, daß der Einfluß des Potentials klein ist. Der Verf. gibt eine genaue Abschätzung der Größenordnung dieses Einflusses.
