Let M be an m-dimensional complex manifold and let H(M) be the Hilbert space consisting of all square-integrable holomorphic m-forms on the product manifold \(M\times \bar M\). Assume that for every \(p\in M\), we can take \(\alpha\in H(M)\) such that \(\alpha\) (p)\(\neq 0\). Under this condition it is proved that there exists a unique fibre pseudometric \(g^{(n)}\) on the n-th symmetric tensor power \(S^ nTM\) of the tangent bundle TM of M. In the case \(n=1\), \(g^{(1)}\) coincides with the usual Bergman pseudometric. A necessary and sufficient condition for \(g^{(n)}\) to be a metric is given also (this condition was formulated in the previous paper of the author and \textit{J. Burbea} [ibid. 7, 133-152 (1984; Zbl 0562.32013)]). \textit{B. A. Fuks}'s result [Sov. Math., Dokl. 7, 525-529 (1966); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 167, 996-999 (1966; Zbl 0158.084)] on the relationship between the curvature of \(g^{(1)}\) and the metric \(g^{(2)}\) is generalized to the case of arbitrary integer n, i.e. for the curvature of \(g^{(n)}\) and the metric \(g^{(n+1)}\).
