A predator-prey model in which the prey population consists of three genotypes with random mating and nonlinear birth and death processes with fertility differences is studied. Conditions for persistence, nonpersistence and global asymptotic stability are derived. Interpretations are offered with regard to the questions of which prey gamete types suffer extinction, when can all types survive under predation, predator meditated persistence and persistence due to fertility differences.
