The author refers to the theorem of C. Runge contained in Acta Math. 6, 229-244 (1885) concerning the possibility of uniform approximation of holomorphic functions by polynomials, the problem which was definitely resolved by \textit{S. N. Mergeljan} [Usp. Mat. Nauk 7, Nr. 2(48), 31-122 (1952; Zbl 0049.327)]. In the present very contensive paper the question is about generalizations of the Runge approximation theorem for solutions of the homogeneous Dirac equation or of the complex Laplacian in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\) over special domains in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\). These complex domains correspond to the harmonic hulls considered by \textit{P. Lelong} [Bull. Soc. Math. Belgique 7, 10-23 (1955; Zbl 0068.083)], \textit{J. Siciak} [Ann Polon. Math. 29, 67-73 (1974; Zbl 0274.32011)], \textit{M. Jarnicki} [Zesz. Nauk. Uniw. Jagiellón. 403, Pr. Mat. 17, 93-104 (1975; Zbl 0335.32009)] concerning the holomorphic continuation of harmonic functions. The author introduces Cauchy integral formulae for functions which satisfy either the complex homogeneous Dirac equation or the complex Laplacian on the complement of compact subsets of \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\). These results are then used to deduce for these classes of functions Runge approximation theorems over open subsets of the complement of a compact set in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\). The author concludes the paper by combining the above approximation theorems with the Moisil-Teodorescu holomorphic transform [\textit{G. C. Moisil, N. Theodoresco}, Mathematica (Cluj) 5, 142-159 (1931; Zbl 0002.27401)] to establish analogues for the solutions of the complex Dirac equation of the homological version of the Mittag-Leffler theorem given in the book of \textit{F. Brackx, R. Delanghe} and \textit{F. Sommen} ``Clifford Analysis'' (1982; Zbl 0529.30001).
