The author considers functions \(f: X\to Y\) which are almost continuous on a dense subset and some relations between the Blumberg property and almost continuity. He has resolved completely a problem of \textit{S.-Y. Lin} and \textit{Y.-F. Lin} [Can. Math. Bull. 21, 183-186 (1978; Zbl 0388.54004)].
